About Eva

My name is Eva Drabkova and I am passionate about how movements, breath and mind are interconnected layers within each of us. I discovered Yoga in my twenties and fell in love completely in 2017 when first travelling to India. Only there I have started to understand that Yoga goes way beyond physical practice, that Yoga is actually a way of life. Since then I am sharing what I have learned and experienced across my travellings and studies.

Yoga

You can meet tremendous variety of forms of Yoga nowadays, especially in the western world. In the end of the story no matter what form of Yoga you experience, may it all lead to the state of Union within and around you.

Yoga traditionally consists of 8 limbs, which sometimes may be misinterpreted as steps, coming one after the other in order to reach Samadhi (liberation). However these 8 aspects of the Union may be reached independently on each other.

Most common entrance door to the state of Yoga is Asana practice (physical, poses), that is where physical movement starts to enhance flow of energy in our being and we immediately fall in love with such state of Unity. Let me tell you more about some styles I am sharing nowadays:

  • Vinyasa flow - solar and dynamic style, allowing to cultivate body and breath awareness. Practice gradually builds up towards challenging poses with respect to the individual needs by offering kramas (introduction to stages for more complex asanas). In class is incorporated phylosophical aspects of Yoga to allow a student space for self-reflection and self-study. Classes are accompanied by mantra chanting and play on harmonium and ukulele.

  • Yin Yoga - lunar and relaxing style of Yoga targeting deeper fascia in the body and meridians - energetic pathways. Yin Yoga enhances flexibility and in combination with pranayama (breath techniques) help body and mind to unwind and rejuvenate. Throughout the practice a great space for mediation and self-relfection and is created.

  • SUP Yoga - playful and funky practice on stand-up paddle board on the water. This unusual practice develops your strength, sense of equilibrium, concentration and reconnect you back to the nature.
